HONOURING MR. J. S. EDSTROM

A civic reception will be tendered to Mr. J. Sigfrid Edstrom, president of the International Amateur Athletic Association and a member of the International Olympic Committee, in the Council Chamber at the Town Hall to-day at noon. Mr. Edstrom will be the guest at ii luncheon at the Grand Hotel at 1 p.m. arranged by the New Ze>land Amateur Athletic Association mid the New Zealand Olympic Association. In the evening he will give a* free address on the Olympic Games in the Concert Chamber, Town Hall, at 8. The address will be illustrated by original lantern slides.
