Mr. Sullivan’s Intention By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, December 17. Tlie Mayor of Christchurch, the Hon. D. G, Sullivan, announced to-night at a meeting of the City Council that he intended to resign the Mayoralty because of his appointment as a Minister of the Crown. He would probably resign from the beginning of February, he said. Mr. Sullivan was congratulated on his appointment, and in ids reply lie acknowledged the friendly co-operation of all other councillors and the council staff.
