SCREENING FOR BLIND

New Grace Moore Film A musical treat was given to a number of the blind of Wellington yesterday, when, through the courtesy of Mr. R. Vinseu, of Columbia Pictures, and the management, of the Plaza Theatre, they were invited to aprivate screening of "Love Me Forever” ("On Wings of Love”), the new musical romance featuring Miss Grace Moore. There was a good attendance, mid just, before the film was screened Mr. N. Edgar, manager of the theatre, gave a brief outline of tlie plot of Hie picture. All present were enthralled with the glorious singing of Miss Moore and of Michael Bartlett who is heard with her in the scene from “La, Bohemc.” At the conclusion of the performance Mr. JI. S. Galloway, of the Red Cross Society, who had arranged the screening, thanked Mr. Vinson and Air. Edgar for their generosity, remarking that he felt sure that all present were privileged-indeed to be invited to hear such beautiful music and such wonderful singing. The guests were each accompanied by a friend, and also present were representatives from the Braille Club. Saturday evening next will be special gala night, at. the I’lazii Theatre, when "Ixive Ale Forever” will receive its public premiere. This picture shows Miss Aloore to greater advantage than ever, while the recording of her exceptional voice is said to be even better than in her previous successes. To make the event an outstanding one the management has consented to devote the proceeds to the Health Stamp Campaign to provide health camps for deserving children at Christmas time. Tlie presentation of Saturday evening will be under the patronage and in the presence of his Excellency the GovernorGeneral and Lady Galway. The occasion presents the opportunity of witnessing a great picture and at the same time contributing to a great charity, the basis of which is health for the children of New Zealand.
