A QUIET TERM
Christ’s College- Register
Containing an abundance of information for old boys of Christ s College, Christchurch, the August number of the “Christ’s College Register” has now been issued. “Another term has passed quietly, without any of the epidemics which so broke up last year’s middle term, states the editorial. “At the beginning ot th? term the football teams below upper were prevented from playing matches by a succession of wet Wednesdays. Latter,y. however, the weather hns improved, and a lot of keen games have been played, the college teams being much more successful this year than usual. “All the societies in the school have been carrying out good worlt, and special mention is made of the Toe H, the debating society, the College Press Club, and the dramatic society." ■ Deep regret is expressed at the death or Mr. C. O. Corfe, an early headmaster of tho college, and of Mr. R. W. Masefield.
