TWO MEN INJURED

Southern Hawke’s Bay Gale, By Telegraph I’ress Association Dantievirke, August 30. The westerly gale which raged in southern Hawke’s Bay yesterday blew Itself out during the night, leaving a trail of minor damage. Power lines in the Dannevirke Board’s northern area were considerably affected by falling trees and power was cut off in several areas. Telegraph lines were also greatly disorganised. During the gale a Dannevirke man was blown from the roof of a workshop and received injuries to his head, chest, and arms. Another man was blown from a bicycle and bad his collarbone broken. Both men are In hospital and are progressing satisfactorily.
