Power-house Set Alight

STORMS IN ENGLAND (British Official Wireless.! (Received August. 30, 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, August 29. Thunderstorms were experienced over many parts of England yesterday, and several houses were struck by lightning. One of the most serious occurrences was at East Kirkley (Nottinghamshire), where transformers at the electric power station were struck and the place was set on fire. Two persons received severe shock, but otherwise were uninjured. The storm was accompanied by torrential rainfall.
