LITTLE CHANGE IN PRICES Very little change was .seen yesterday in the Wellington stock and share markets, and the volume of business recorded was small. There was a slightly improved demand •in one or two sec.i ns, but buyers generally maintained .hen Waiting attitude. . •. . Government loans had a good inqu , and three sales were recorded. per cent. Stock, 1939-43, was done nt ( £lO5, 4 per cent, stock. 1949, sold at £llO 5/-, abd there was a deal in piner cent, “dissented” stock. 1937, at £lOl. A steadier tone was apparent in banks National of. New Zealand being marked up to .70/6, with holders at-2/6. E.. b. and A. Banks were done at £a/10/- Com mercial of Australia were a point better, at 16/3 and Commercial of A'.ts ralia moved up 2/6 to £l7/15/-, New Smith Wales were wanted at £3l/10/-- sellers holding for £32/10/-. .. Little quotable change was Shaw ti in industrial and trading isdies. Broken Hill Proprietary were weak on a sa.e at 65/-, buyers staying in at 64/J Australian Glass recovered to 1 /3. ana Lr t ish Tobaccos were wanted at 38/J. w •>- son’s Cement were done at 42/3.
