Alexander Mines, Limited '. The directors of Alexander Mines, Limited. ill their ninth anlnial report, review operations for the year ended May 31, 1935. The mine was closed down from March, 1934, to July, 1934 (both months inclusive), owing to the employees being on strike. Consequently, during this period no crushing was done for the months of June arid Jlriy. • The retuths, therefore, cover a period of ten .months only. The total gold production for the period was 31440 z. Idwt., which realised £24,361 18/7. from which £2020/3/7 was paid in gold duty taxation. Meat Shipments to Britain The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board is advised by cable from its London'office that the shipments from Australia.
