ORDER CANCELLED

Cruiser For Japanese Goodwill Party

By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, August. 26.

Orders were received in Auckland today for tfie Diomede to leave Devonport naval base to-morrow for Wellington, where the cruiser was to arrive at 9.30 on Thursday morning. These instructions, however, were cancelled tonight. It was learned that members of the Japanese goodwill mission at present in New Zealand have, to be back in Australia early next week. Before the orders were cancelled it was still uncertain whether they would be able to reach Sydney,in time by the Wanganella. If other means Of transport failed, it was.believed that the Government as a gesture Of goodwill would place the Diomede at the disposal of the mission for the trip.'
