INSURANCE SCHEME
Proposal For Eastbourne Council Employees “I think the time has come when we should endeavour to institute some scheme of insurance or superannuation for our employees,” said the Mayor, Mr. E, AV. Wise, at the meeting of the Eastbourne Borough Council last iigiht. Accordingly, he moved that the finance committee should go into t.he question and bring down a report to the next council meeting. In seconding the motion, Cr. M. Magill said it was absolutely essential that there should be some such scheme. It was a ■fact, she said, that the council had had ’to put off employees through illness or old age. The motion was carried unanimously.
