VERDICT OF SUICIDE

Mr. R. Cooper, Gladstone Dominion Special Service Mastertoil, June 10. An inquest into the circumstances surrounding tlie deatli of Mr. Robert Cooper, of Gladstone, was conducted before the district coroner. Mr. E. G. Eton, this morning. Evidence was given by two soils of deceased and by Dr. J. A. Cowie that deceased, had been in illhealth for some time past.

Giving his verdict, the coroner said it was a particularly sad fatality and referred to the high esteem in which Mr. Cooper was held by all who knew him. He returned a finding of death from a self-inflicted mortal wound.
