Sentence to be. Considered By Cabinet

It is expected that Cabinet toward the end of this week will give consideration to the fate of Charles William Price, who. a prisoner under close guard at Mt. Crawford Jail, Wellington, recently was found guilty of the murder of Evelyn Mary Madden, and sentenced to death.

The Minister of Justice, Hon. J. G. Cobbe, has received the depositions and the report of tlie trial judge. Mr. Justice Blair. After perusal these will lie submitted to a meeting of Cabinet. Following consideration by Cabinet, the papers, together with Cabinet's report, will be submitted to tlie Executive Council, which comprises his Excellency the Governor-General and Ministers, and. on completion of that procedure a decision will lie made as to whether the death sentence should lie carried out.
