Page—Zohrab The first wedding to be solemnised in St. Mary’s Churchroom, Silverstream, was on Saturday afternoon, when Joan Miriam, only daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. E. G. F. Zohrab, Silverstream, was married to Paul Stuart, eldest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. F. M. Page, Eketahuna. The Rev. J. L. Kayle, Waihi, officiated. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Dr. Zohrab, wore a beautiful gown of deep cream velvet which had flowers of the same material round the square neck line. The skirt formed a long train. The muslin veil, which was lent by a friend, was held in place by a wreath of orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of deep cream roses. The three bridesmaids, the Misses Mabin, Penelope Blundell and Margaret Miller, wore frocks which were replicas of the bride’s except that they were of deep bottle green velvet. Their bouquets were of vivid pink cyclamens. After the ceremony a reception was held at Mrs. Zohrab’s home, “Girliston,” Silverstream. Tubs of yellow chrysanthemums surrounded the house, and inside the rooms were decorated with shaded pink roses, cyclamen and maidenhair fern. A plateglass window, through which could be seen a lovely view of the garden, formed a background to the bridal party. Mrs. Zohrab. who received the guests, wore a handsome black marocain and cream lace gown. Mrs. Page, mother of the bridegroom, wore black tulip lace with velvet trimming and a hat to match. * The bride travelled in a tunic frock Of dusky pink, which was trimmed with brown. She wore a brown hat and accessories. * Y V Tilbury—Dyer The wedding was solemnised on Saturday at Knox Church, Lower Hutt, of Vera, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. V. Dyer, and Allan Rumgay, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Tilbury. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of silver striped matalasse, made on simple lines, long sleeved, with a cowl yoke, finished with a sprig of orange blossom, and with a girdle of silver cord. The sleeves were finished with tiny buttons. Her embroidered tulle veil was caught to the head with a circlet of orange-blos-som buds. Her bouquet was of white cyclamen, carnations and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids were Miss Margaret Dyer (chief), sister of the bride, and Miss Margaret Tilbury, sister of the bridegroom. Both wore frocks of apple-green watered velvet, the cowl necks being finished with silver lame. The long cowl sleeves were lined with silver lame, and the backs of the frocks and the sleeves were finished with silver buttons. They wore circlets of silver leaves, and carried bouquets of marguerites. Mr. H. Basire was Mtest man, and Mr. H. Tilbury, brother of the bridegroom, was groomsman The Rev. Thomson Macky officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Dyer received the guests in Knox Schoolroom, Mrs. Dyer wearing a frock of silver-grey, lace over blue satin, and hat of grey felt finished with a blue feather. Her posy was of daphne and autumn foliage. Mrs, Tilbury, the bridegroom’s mother, wore a frock of wine lace with marocain coat of tffe same shade, and hat to tone, and she carried a posy of cyclamen, daphne and autumn foliage. Mrs. A. R. Tilbury travelled in a navy blue tailored suit and navy blue felt hat. * * * Murray—Jensen A choral wedding was recently celebrated at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Wanganui, when Violet, only daughter of Mrs. M. C. Jensen and rlie late Mr. C. Jensen, Brunswick, was married to John Erie, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Murray, also of Brunswick. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. 11. Norrie, of Westmere. The bride, who was given away by her cousin, wore a gown of heavy ivory satin., the long train being cut in one with the skirt. Her embroidered veil, which formed another train, was pleated and attached to a fine lace cap, and held in place by a halo of pearls and orange blossoms. The bridesmaids were the Misses Linda Archibald, and Ellen Bullock, Wanganui. They wore frocks of torquoise blue crinkle crepe cut on slim-fltting lines with deep V decolletes at the baek and front. They carried bouquets of pink and blue flowers and maidenhair fern. Jessie Murray, niece of the bridegroom, was a flower girl. The best man was Mr. W. P. Trezona, and the groomsman, Mr. F. Puklowski. The bride travelled in a navy blue tailored costume with a Princess Marina henna hat and a long skunk stole and carried a black fur coat.
