BOYS’ INSTITUTE

Officers For Ladies’ Auxiliary The ladies’ auxiliary of the Boys’ Institute held its annual meeting recently, when the annual report of the work for the year ended December 31, 1934, was submitted. A pleasing feature of the year’s work, stated the report, was the steady increase in applications for admittance to the home throughout the year. The visiting committee, consisting of four members of the auxiliary, appointed at each monthly meetin, had made periodical inspections and their reports on the management of the home had proved very satisfactory. Early in the year the director had found it necessary to inaugurate a clothing fund for the assistance of many of the boys, and his appeal for donations had met with a generous response both from the ladies’ auxiliary and management committee, and their friends. The following were re-elected to hold office for the ensuing year:—Hon. president, Mrs. L. T. Watkins; president, Mrs. j. Hislop; vice-presidents, Mesdames G. Remington, W. I. McCallum, G. D. Talbot and Miss Gilchrist; hon. treasurer, Mrs. T. Kemp. Members were also appointed to the buying committee, executive committee and representatives to the management committee. At the close of the meeting, Mrs. J. Hislop warmly thanked the members for the keen interest and co-operation they had displayed throughout the year
