Feilding Sale Prices Dominion Special Service. Feilding, April 12. Fat ewes dropped in price at the stock sale to-day according with export values, which fell about 1/- a head recently. Fat lambs, however, were firm, with a good clearance, exporters buying freely, while fat wethers sold at previous rates. Breeding ewes were .in good demand, especially young ewes, r.w. S.D. rams. Store lambs were eagerly sought, with firm rates for black-faces,' though white-faces were not so firm. The store cattle market was somwhat dull and in-and-out. There was a fairly good market for fat cattle, best ox making to 22/6 and best heifer to 17/6 per hundredweight. The dairy cattle market remains lifeness. Prices were:— Fat sheep: Prime lambs, single entry, 24/-; lots to 22/10; very good, 20/- to 21/10; average, 18/6 to 19/4; inferior, 13/5 to 17/-. Prime heavy wethers, 23/1; prime light, 21/6 to 22/6; good, 18/- to 19/6; fair, 17/-. Prime ewes, 16/9 to 17/-; good, 15/-; light sorts, 13/- to 14/-. Stores: Breeding ewes, two-tooths, r.w. Southdown rams, 26/8; two-tooth to fouryear ditto, 21/8; four, six to four-year, 18/4; four-year, 20/6 ; four, five-year. 18/3 to 21/6; ewe lambs, good. 19/3 to 20/-; fair condition, a ./- to 17/9; inferior from 13/-: wether lambs, good, 14/to 15/8; fair, 12/6 to 13/9; poor condition from 11/10; black-face lambs, good, 14/- to 14/9; fair, 12/7 to 13/6; twotooth wethers, 18/4 to 20/-. Store cattle: Store cows to 40/-; 20months P.A. steers, £3/17/-; forward heifers, £2/10/-; empty P.A. heifers, £2/17/6; forward P.A. bullocks, £6/5/-; Holstein cows, £4. Fat cattle: Dairy breeds, fat cows, prime, £3/2/6 to £3/10/-; light fat ctiws, £2/2/6; prime Hereford cows. £3/17/6 to £4/17/6; Jersey heifers, £3 10/-; P.A’. heifers, £4; R.P. bullocks. £5 10/-; P.A. runners, £2/15/-. Dairy springing cows, £4/5/- to £4/10/-; cows in milk, 50/-; heifers in milk. £3/10/-. Poultry: Hens, 1/- to 1/7; pullets, 4/9 to 5/9 ; cockerels, 1/1 to 2/2 ; ducks, 1/3 to 3/1; turkeys, gobblers, 6/-. Pigs: Wenners, poor, 1/6 to 4/-; others,- 5/6 to 11/-; slips, 9/6 to 10/6; stores, 27/-.
