4. Palmerston Technical Sports 522 Palmerston North, April 11. Five records were broken at the annual athletic sports of the Palmeriston North Technical School. F. Yuile lowered the 100 yards to 10 3-ssec., the 220 yards to 26 2-ssec., and the 440 yards to 63sec. Jean Glasgow lowered the 50 yards junior to 5 4-ssec. and Ken Julian set a new record of 4ft. Ulin, for the junior high jump. . ... The winners of the championships were: Boys’ senior: Claude Ellingham, 17ipts., 1; Charles Baldock, 14pts., 2. Boys’ jun, ior: Fred Yuile, 15ipts„ 1; Robert Lind, llipts., 2. Girls’ senior: Peggy Foster, llpts., 1; Pat Cadogan and Aline Gardener, 7pts„ equal, 2. Girls’ junior: Jean Glasgow, 15pts.. 1; Lorraine Major, 7 Pts., 2. The club aggregates were as follow: — Tainui, boys, 62J; girls. 36; total, Arawa, 52, 45i, 97-1. Agapuhi, 591, 30, 89J. Rangitane, 17, 26J, 43J.
