SELECTIONS FROM SHAKESPEARE

Lyceum Club Drama Circle Every year, about the date of Shakespeare’s birthday, the Drama Circle of the Lyceum Club present, in costume, selections from his works. This year’s presentation was held last evening, before a large audience, all present greatly appreciating the efforts of the performers and of Aliss Hardings Alaltby, who' so capably arranged and produced the various scenes. The title of the performance was ‘‘Scenes and Songs from Shakespeare.” selections being given from “As You Like It,” “Twelfth Night,” “The Alerry AVives of AVindsor,” "A AVinter’s Tale,” and -“The Alerehant of Venice.” The costuming and the scenery were features of the evening, the picturesque dresses of the periods of thewarious plays being most pleasing to the eye. Eric Rishworth), and “Orpheus to His Lute” and “Hark, Hark, the Lark” (Aliss Ailsa Dillon). Airs. Fouhy and Aliss Kay were the accompanists. A dainty supper brought the evening to a dose.
