A spectacular crash occurred during the motor-cycle races at Oreti Beach yesterday afternoon, when 11. Currie collided with H. Munro in the i'ourmile handicap. Both machines were travelling at a high rate of speed, and the riders were catapulted into the air. Munro escaped with minor injuries, but Currie suffered a broken collarbone.
