Here is an excellent recipe for a mayonnaise, and one that will last well in the hot weather: —Quarter cup vinegar, I cup salad yil or melted butter, 1 egg yolk, i teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon dry mustard, sprinkle of cayenne, two-thirds of a cup of condensed milk. Place ingredients in a jar, fasten top on tightly, and shake, well for 2 minutes. The mixture will blend perfectly. If thicker consistency is required, place jar in refrigerator to chill before serving. _ The recipe e may be doubled by using 1 whole egg in place of the egg yolk and doubling all other ingredients. This wiU make 2} cups mayonnaise. .
