QUARANTINE TO END

Aorangi’s Passengers (Received February 7, 8.25 p.m J Sydney, February The remainder of the Aorangi’s passengers, including Mr. A. E. Manning, managing director of the “Waikato Times,” will be released from quarantine to-morrow. The Manning, in the course of a telephone conversation with the New Zealand Press Association, paid a tribute to the manner in which the passengers were treated by the authorities. .He said the organisation had been perfect. Referring to suggestions that the development of the smallpox case on the Aorangi might have been ascertained before the vessel left Now Zealand, Mr. Manning said that medical opinion expressed to him was that it would have been impossible to detect it until after the vessel’s departure. There could be no possible reflection on the New Zealand health authorities.
