Swimming at Auckland By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, January 15. In an official attempt on the BSO yards New Zealand swimming record, held by Miss K. Aliller (AVelliugton), Miss Alona Leydon lowered the time, covering the distance in 12.23. This broke the exsting record by 1.31 3-5. The 220yds. men’s championship of Auckland resulted in the sensational defeat of the New Zealand titleholder, N. Crump, by R. Frankham, in 2 25 4-5. R Thomas was third. The winner's time was 3 2-5 lower than Crump's Dominion record.
