Johnsonville Store Sale
At Johnsonville yesterday, Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., submitted a yarding of 2867 sheep and 160 head of cattle, mostly dairy stock. There was a large attendance of buyers from Wairarapa. Manawatu and local districts. Ltd.’s Pahiatua sale today, at which a large entry of lambs was offered. Some goad lambs and a draft of P.A. cows and calves came forward, one pen of 200 f. and f. black face lambs realising 17/10. A total clearance was effected. Lambs. —Good b.f. lambs, 14/6 to 17/10; others, 7/6 to 13/1; woolly w.f. wether lambs, 10/8 to 14/1; shorn w.f. wether lamilis, S/IO to 12/3. Store sheep and lambs declined, while fat cattle made recent values except that there was little demand for cows and stores, which showed an easing tendency.
