YESTERDAY’S WEATHER
Light Northerly at Wellington Wellington experienced yesterday another warm, sunny day with a light northerly breeze. The temperature at the Kelburn observatory at 4 p.m. was 71 degrees, and the maximum during the day 75.4 degrees. ‘ Brilliant sunshine and high temperatures were again experienced at Masterton. There was a light northerly breeze. ‘ Perfect summer weather was experienced at Wanganui, with bine skies and a strong breeze. The temperature at 11 o'clock was 75 degrees. Beautiful summer weather prevailed at Waipukurau. The maximum temperature at 2 p.m. was 88 degrees, which by 5 p.m. had dropped to 80 degrees.
Ideal summer weather prevailed at Auckland, conditions being fine and clear. There was a moderate breeze from the south-south-west. After being steady at 30in. iu the morning, the barometer later fell to 29.95 in. The weather was fine but for the most part cloudy at Christchurch. The wind was light from the east. The barometer was steady at 29.93 in. Fine weather with a light south-east wind and passing cloud and sunshine prevailed at Dunedin. The maximum temperature was 62 degrees.
