Wairarapa W.D.F.U. Remits

Mastnrton, November 30.

At a meeting of the Wairarapa Provincial Council of the Women’s Division, the following remits were passed:

(1) That (the Women’s Division Farmers’ Union supports the policy of ordered Immigration of selected and tra’ned British immigrants on a quid pro quo basis (with Britain, as outlined by the Immigration Society recently formed in Wellington. (2) That in view of the (desperate scarcity of labour on farms and in country homes, the Government be urged (to do its utmost to expedite the immigration policy launched by 'the recently formed immigration board.
