GOLD MEDAL WON
N.Z. Display at Canadian National Exhibition
HIGH COMMENDATION Advice'has been received by the Department of Industries and Commerce from the New Zealand Trade and Tourist Commissioner in Canada and the United States'of America, Mr. J. AV. Collins, who is now on leave in New Zealand, that the Canadian National Exhibition has awarded to ‘the Government of New Zealand a gold medal •‘for the excellence of the display of New Zealand products 'at our exhibition this year.” Mr. E. A. Huglies, Ihe general manager, states: —“This interesting and educational exhibit was the cause of much favourable comment from the general public who always 'look forward to the display in the Government’s building.”
On the face of 'the medal is a reproduction of the photograph of the Earl of Bessborough, Governor-Gen-eral of Canada, who opened the exhibition this year. As a personal memento “of 'his splendid co-operation and - assistance which has always been greatly appreciated.” Mr. Collins has received a bronze 'replica of the medal.
