Mr. Henderson’s Efforts LONDON CONVERSATIONS (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, November. 1 Mr. Arthur Henderson, the president of the Disarmament has been studying with the Secretary-Gen-eral of the League of Nations, M. Avenol, who is at present in London, the future course of the Disarmament Conference. The secretary of the conference, in the course of a recent visit to Paris on Mr. Henderson’s behalf, had been in touch with the vice-president of the conference, M. Politis, representatives of the French Government, and of certain other Powers, and was able to lay ■ his information before the president. This morning, at the Foreign Office, Mr. Henderson met in informal consultation the Foreign Secretary, Sir John Simon, and Captain Eden, Lord Privy Seal, as representing the United Kingdom. Later, taking advantage of tlieir presenec in London, the president also met Messrs. Norman Davis and Hugh Wilson as representatives of the United States Government. Mr. Henderson intends in a few days to make a communication to members of the bureau of the conference containing a suggestion regarding the future’ course of its proceedings.
