SPEECH MODIFIED
Dr. Mueller’s Aims For Nazi Church GERMAN CONSUMPTION By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received September 21, 7 p.m.) Berlin, September 21. The speech of Dr. Mueller, Primate of Germany, on his aims for a single Nazi church, edited for publication in the German Press, appears without the slogan, ‘One People, one State, one Church,” while the phrase “Church free from Rome” is rendered “Free German Church.”
Speaking at Hanover, it was reported yesterday, Dr. Mueller. Primate of Germany, said that; his avowed aim was to fuse Protestants and Catholics into a single Nazi church. “I want a church free from Rome,” he declared. “We are fighting for the goal of “One State, one People, one Church.’ Anyone who cannot join us in building up this church must step aside. If he refuses, I will force him.” Dr. Mueller also attacked those who declared Christ was a Jew.
