TORNADO IN INDIA
Town of Sylket Struck 20 KILLED; MANY MISSING (Received May 2, 5.5 p.m.) Calcutta, May 2. Twenty were killed, a large number injured, and considerable damage done to property by a tornado which passed over Sylhet and suburbs last night. Numerous houses were blown down aud telegraphic communications cut. A Government launch and a number of cargo-laden country boats sank in the River Surma. Many are reported to be missing.
