TRAGEDY ON FARM

Husband and Wife Dead (Received May 2, 9.25 p.m.) Sydney. May A shooting tragedy occurred on a dairy farm in the Minini district in the vicinity of Newcastle. Emanuel Foot, aged 52. aud his wife, aged 44, are dead. The latter was apparently killed first, the top of her head being blown off. The husband is reported to have committed suicide with a shotgun, his son witnessing his father’s act from the milking shed. The family consists of nine. The motive for the tragedy is unknown. It Is understood that Foot had hud bad health, and had several times threatened his wife.
