LANDING AT DARWIN
Airmen Rubin and Waller AIR RACE AMBITIONS (Received April 6. 7.30 p.m.) Darwin, April C. The. airmen Rubin and Waller left Koepang this morning and arrived at Darwin at 12.23 p.m. They are remaining about ten days in Australia, returning by the same route after visiting Sydney and Melbourne. Their object is to survey the route for the Centenary air race, as Rubin intends flying a new type of Comet machine. Their present machine, a Leopard Moth, is of the enclosed cabin type. Rubin is Austrnlinn-born and served with the Imperial Forces. Waller is a native of Kent. Messrs. Rubin and Waller started from Lvmpne on March 19. They intended to reach Melbourne in 16 days and return to England in Mny.
