Meteorological Office, Wellington, Wednesday, March 21, 1934, 4 p.m. A very intense anti-cyclone is still centred near E westerly depression now covers south-eastern Australia, and is moving east Winds" north-east to northerly, still strong in the far north; elsewhere light to Seas’ratherrougli to'rough'ffi New Zealand waters north of East. Cape, and rising somewhat in Cook and Foveaux Straits; otherwise smooth to moderate Moderate to strong north-east to northerly winds in eastern Tasman Sea, and fair Yo’eloudy* and mild at most places, but scattered rains north of Kawhia and Tauranga, and in the far south, and gradually becoming more widespread in western and southern districts. Mist or fog in places.
