AVALANCHE OF MUD

Village Being Overwhelmed Nice, March 15. Fourteen hundred villagers, driven from their homes, are watching by the light of bonfires an avalanche steadily overwhelming Roquevilliere, which was devastated in 1926. Tons of mud are pouring down the mountainside, flattening the houses. It is expected that the entire village will be buried in 24 hours.
