A YEAR IN OFFICE

First Anniversary of Hitler’s Regime ENGLISH PAPER’S REVIEW (Received January 30, 11.30 p.m.). Berlin, January 30. Herr Hitler’s first year ovoffice was celebrated to-day with a meeting of the ell-Nazi Reichstag at the Kroll Opera House, where Herr Hitler summed up his achievements. Elsewhere there were numerous Nazi demonstrations on military lines. “The Tinies.” says a London message, reviewing the first year of Nazi rule, says: “Herr Hitler has bent Germany to his will. He is acknowledged more completely as master than even the great Bismarck and certainly has given it a greater appearance of unity. He has moulded the best with some of the worst instincts of the German race into a powerful national unit which responds swiftly to his leadership. It is generally recognised that Herr Hitler’s fundamental aim is a restoration of the,Germans’ belief in themselves, making Germany respected, and perhaps feared, abroad.”
