Mrs. M. A. Lachman has left for a holiday in Dunedin. Mr. and Mrs. B. Godby have returned to Raetihl from Wanganui. Jliss M. Moriarty, Pahiatua, is spending a holiday in Hastings.

Mrs. David Wilkie is the guest of Mrs. Louis Cohen, Karpri.

Mrs. C. R. Chapman, Dunedin, is visiting Wellington.

Dr. and Mrs. McKlbbin will motor to Taupo on Friday. Miss Angela Yeats, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. Arthur Barnett, Dunedin. Sir Charles and Lady Statham will spend Christmas with their daughter. Mrs. Goderic Muntz, Hill Street. Dr. and Mrs. Eardley Fenwick and Miss Fenwick are going to Waikanae on Saturday for Christmas. Mr. and Mrs. S. George Nathan and family will spend the holidays at their house at Paraparaumu Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Coleridge will leave for Takapau on Saturday to stay with Mrs. E. R. White for the holidays.

Miss Tosti Murray, Lyall Bay, went south last evening for a flve-weeks’ stay at Queenstown.

Miss Betty Mcßae, Palmerston North, is spending the Christmas holidays at Auckland.

Miss E. Glanville, Havelock North, is visiting Mrs. J. J. Lawrence-Scott, at Palmerston North.

Mr. and Mrs. Austin Quince, Sydney, are visiting Mrs.,Quince’s mother, Mrs. Vaughan McDonald, Wanganui. Mr., Mrs? and Miss Limbrick, Waipawa, have gone on the Wang'anella Sounds trip.

Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Gillon, Tinakori Road, will leave this morning for a holiday in Rotorua and Auckland.

Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Graham, Lower Hutt, will leave shortly for their cottage at Waikanae beach. Mrs. H. J. Palmer, Blue Mountain, Marlborough, is spending a holiday in Wellington. Mrs. L. H. Wood, Wellington, is staying with her sister, Mrs. Roy Towle. Auckland.

Mrs. D. Marshall, Wellington, is staying with her mother, Mrs. W. C. Barrett, Christchurch. Misses C. and E. Jull, W’aipawa, with Mr. V. Jull. have gone to Milford Sound on the Wanganella. Miss Barbara Scudamore, Christchurch, will spend the Christmas holidays in Wellington. Mrs. G. W. Forbes and her daughters are waiting in Wellington to go South 'for Christinas with the Prime Minister. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Earle are coming from Wanganui on Friday to spend Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Earle, Lower Hutt. Miss Christine Chaffer. Reading, England, arrived by the Wanganella, and has gone to stay with relatives in Dunedin.

Mrs. F. Pringle, Coradine Street, Masterton, who has been spending a holiday in Dannevirke, has returned home.

Mr. and Mrs. John Colwill. Roseneath, are motoring to The Hermitage, Mount Cook, and through the Lakes district.

Miss J. Giffauey, who has been visiting the Misses C. and M. Cameron, Cole Street, Masterton, has returned to her home at Whakatane.

Miss L. Griffiths, Melbourne, will arrive this week on a visit to Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Griffiths, Daniell Street, Martin borough.

Mrs. W. Algie, Saunders Road, Eketahuna, will leave next week io take up her residence in Palmerston North.

Mr. and Mrs. C. V. Houghton, Auckland, will be the guests of their daughter, Mrs. McClurg, of Old Military Road, Lower Hutt, for the holidays.

Mrs. Lucas and Miss M. Lucas, Lower Hutt, will spend Christmas with Mrs. Lucas's sister, Mrs. R. G. Petre, St. Albans, Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Rhodda, Miss M. Burd. Miss E. Hart, Mr. F. W. Hart, and Mr. R. R. Crawford have been recent Wellington visitors to the Hermitage, Mount Cook. Mrs. Godfrey Wells. Eordell,. was hostess at fln enjoyable party given in honour of Miss K. Cullinane, whose marriage to Mr. S. Silk takes place shortly.

Mr. and .Mrs. Erie Millton, of Christchurch, will spend a holiday in Masterton as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. 0. H. Beetbam. They will leave Christchurch shortly after Christmas.

The Rev. H. Lindsay and Mrs. Lindsay, Wanganui, are visiting Mrs. Lindsay’s brother, the Rev. Grant Cowan, at Auckland, prior to leaving for England.

Mrs. Priest, Banks Street, Timaru, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. George Shirtcliffe, Tinakori Road. Miss Myra Bassett, Timaru, Mrs. Shirtcliffe’s niece, is also staying with her. Dr. and Mrs. Louis Cohen will leave on Friday for a fishing camp on the Waikato River, where they will spend Christmas. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Sclanders have taken their house, Merivale, Karori, during their absence.
