Australian Women’s Team NEW ZEALAND . TOUR By Telegraph. —Press Association. Auckland, December 19. Looking forward to an enjoyable tour of New Zealand, the New South Wales women’s tennis team arrived at Auckland from Sydney by the Marama The party, which comprises Miss N. Lloyd, manager, and Misses D. Dingle, N. Hall, U. Valkenburg, and L. Bickerton was officially wecomed on board the steamer by Mr. P. Harrison, president of the Auckand Lawn Tennis Association. , The team, said Miss Lloyd, would spend 31 days in New Zealand, being scheduled to leave on its return trip on January 18. A condition of the tour was that the party would return home in time to compete in the Australian championships. The party will appear at Whangarei on Thursday and at Auckland on Saturday. Christmas will be spent at Rotorua, after which the tourists will go to the South Isand.' They will compete in the New Zealand championships it Christchurch, and later will play a Test match at Wellington on January 12 and 13. The final appearances of the tour will be made at Masterton and Palmerston North. The side, Miss Lloyd said, was the strongest available, with the exception that Miss Joan Hartighn, the hardhitting Australian champion, had been unable to make the trip.
