AUSTRALIAN SCHEME “Goodwill” Party May Fly in Southern Cross By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received December 15, 9 p.m.) Sydney, December 15. The Federal Government is contemplating a goodwill trade mission to japan, and the Prime Minister, Mr. J. A. Lyons, has invited Mr. J. G. Latliam, Acting-Prime Minister, to undertake the trip with a staff of - experts. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith has offered to pilot the Southern Cross to Tokio with Mr. Latham and a group of officials. The offer is now under consideration. Besides being Acting-Prime Minister, Mr. J. G. Latham is Attorney-General, Minister of External Affairs, and Minister of Industry. WELCOME PROPOSAL Tokio “Greatly Interested” (Received December 15, 9 p.m.) Tokio, December 15. The Foreign Office is greatly interested in the reported visit of an Australian trade delegation headed by Mr. J. G. Latham, of which official advice has not yet been received. It would welcome promoting friendly relations.
