He pleaded guilty and was fined the maximum penalty of £5OO, being al-

lowed two months in which to pay. ■ The Collector of Customs outlined the facts connected with a raid by himself and detectives on the accused’s property last Sunday, .when they found an elaborate still and 180 gallons, of whisky wash. The Collectors said that this was the thirteenth prosecution in nine years, fines collected to date totalling £2400.
