TWO PIGEON RACES
Wellington Birds on Wing FROM NORTH AND SOUTH The Wellington Homing Pigeon Society held an interval race from Auckland, a 314 miles’ air-line. Each pigeon was liberated singly at 10-minute intervals, and had to fly the journey on its own. The pigeons were liberated by Mr. W. G. Alexander, an. Auckland fancier, and the race resulted in a win for Messrs. Murphy and Sherwood’s Biplane for the second year in succession.
