SICKNESS PREVALENT
Free Ambulance Kept Busy 760 CALLS IN NOVEMBER “There seems to be a great deal of sickness about at the present time,” commented Mr. F. Roffe, superintendent of the Wellington Free Ambulance, yesterday. Mr. Roffe at 3 p.m. said that they had already responded to 30 calls that day, and every available driver was out on duty at the moment. Up to then the ambulance had attended to some 760 calls during November. .While that -was not a record, it was a fairly good indication that there was a good deal of sickness in Wellington, as the number of accidents was not above normal.
