Mr. and Mrs. G. Currie, Brunswick, Wanganui, are visiting Auckland. Miss Q. Chamberlain, Wellington, is on a visit to Napier.
Mrs. L. H- Hislop, Wellington, is staying in Auckland. Miss D. -E. Bray, secretary of the Wellington Racing Club, is at present paying a visit to Napier. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Baker, Pending, left for the south on Monday, travelling via Picton and Blenheim. Mrs. D. M. 'Graham, Cole Street, Masterton, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. R. St. Lawrence, Hawke’s Bay.

Coleman, Stratford, is the guest of Miss Annette Johnston, Wanganui. . „ Sister W. Gambrill, of the staff of the Bowen Street Private Hospital, is spending a holiday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Gambrill, Gisborne. Mrs. lan Browne, Palmerston North, is at present staying with her parents. Captain and Mrs. Hargreaves, Glenmore Street. Miss Fraser, who has been living for some time at Paekakariki, has returned to her home in Liverpool Street, Wanganui. . Miss Joyce Morris, Gisborne, is the guest bf Dr. and Mrs. A. Wilson in Wanganui and will leave shortly to visit Mrs. H. F. Arkwright, Marton. Misses Lindsay and Ngaire Greig, who have been the guests of Mrs. Webb, Branscombe Flats, have returned to their'home at Muritai. Mr. and Mrs. George Shirtcliffe will arrive in-Auckland by the Akaroa on Thursday. They will leave for Wellington by the Limited express the same evening. Mrs. Lindsay Ross, an ambulance officer from Nelson, who has been the guest of Mrs. G. Barltrop during the St. John Ambulance Brigade annual competitions, returned home last evening. Mrs. R. E. Culverwell and Miss Jean Culverwell, Kelburn, who have been visiting Mrs. M. Smith, Kaituna, are now the guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. de Lisle. Cornwall Street, Masterton. Among recent guests at the Hermitage, Mount Cook, were: Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Prydei South Africa; Mrs. A. E. Brown, Sydney; Miss K. Gardiner, England: Mrs. L. M. Middlebrook and Miss B. E. Chappell, Wellington.
