SLANDER ALLEGATION
Action Against Husband, and Wife Further evidence in an action in which trespass, assault, and slander were alleged was heard in the Supreme Court yesterday before Mr. Justice Blair. The case, which began on Monday, is one brought by Frances Isohel Triplow, wife of Francis James Triplow, Hutt Road, Lower Hutt, against William Carter, Kiwi Street, Lower Hutt, waterside worker, and Nellie May Carter, his wife. Plaintiff claimed against William Carter £lO for alleged trespass, and £2OO for alleged slander. She claimed against both defendants 10/6 for medical expenses, £lO for alleged trespass, £5O for alleged assault, and £4OO for alleged slander. Mr. A. B. Sievwright appeared for plaintiff, Mr. C. R. Barrett for Mrs. Carter, and Mr. J. Hanna for Mr. Carter. The case was adjourned until to-day.
