CONCERT PARTY

Soldiers’ Hospital Visited

Although some of them are suffering from serious war injuries the brightness of the patients at the Red Cross Hospital, Hobson Street, was strikingly revealed when a Jiappy juvenile concert party, organised by “Sergeant Dan” of Station 2ZW visited them last evening.

The party was welcomed by the matron, Miss Mcßae, who was presented with a charming bouquet. The dancing, singing and recitations by the children were thoroughly enjoyed by the patients, who appreciated also the fact that the visitors dispensed with the usual formality and talked with them freely. The following children contributed items: —Vernice Aston, Audrey Daniells, and Esme Clark, Melvyn Aston, Vai Parker, Ngnire Collins, Billy Smyth, Ken Rowband, Violet Compton. June Oldbury, Douglas and Harry Forster, Irene Smyth, arid Vai Keyes. Mr. L. A. Harbord entertained at the piano, and “Captain Leo,” of 2ZM r , was M.C.

A delightful supper was served by the audience.
