Palmerston City Loans POLL CONTEMPLATED Dominion Special Service. Palmerston North, November 6. The sanction of the Local Government Loans Board to the raising of a loan of £19,000 for unemployment relief was received nt to-night’s meeting of the Palmerston North City Council. Authority was also received for a loan of £6OOO to meet the council’s share of the cost of the new Fitzherbert Bridge. Conditions on which approval was granted were, among others, that the terms of the loans should not exceed 20 years, and that the payment of interest aud the repayment of the principal should be paid in New Zealand currency. Tlie council decided to make arrangements for the holding of a poll.
