Dunedin Rivers High By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedill, November 6. Between Saturday afternoon and 9 o’clock this morning four inches of rain had fallen. The Leith ran dangerously high yesterday, sweeping away part of the concrete embankment wall, and digging a gap in Leith Street. Much water lies in the low level at the southern end of the city, but the damage is trifling. While the Silverstteam is high, the Taieri River is not seriously flooded. The rain has eased. FALL AT TIMARU Much Rain in 24 Hours By Telegraph.—Press Association. Timaru, November 6. Heavy rain was experienced over the week-end. From the middle of the afternoon on Saturday till 9 o’clock this morning there was a total fall of 3.54 inches. The fall f< r the 24 hours till 9 a.m. to-day was 3.09 inches, the second heaviest fall in a day since 1920, when the record was 3.12 inches.
