FREE STATE CONTRACT
Awarded to German Firm VALUED AT £1,500,000 (Received November 5, 7 p.m.). London, November 4. Siemen and Scliukert, of Berlin, have been awarded the larger part of a contract by the Dublin Government for the construction of three new sugar beet factories at Tuam, Thurles. and Mallow. The price is estimated at £1,500.000. There was keen competition from many couutrie.:. Siemens also obtained the five millions contract for the Shannon electricity scheme in the early days of the Free State.
