New French Premier FINANCIAL POLICY Same as Previous Cabinet’s ECONOMIES ANNOUNCED By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received November 5, 7 p.m.) ' Paris, November 4. The Premier, M. Sarraut, by 320 votes to 32, received a vote of confidence in the Chamber. The abstentions numbered fifty. The Sarraut told members that the financial policy was the same as that of the last Government except for seine personal ideas. Economies were necessary, and the Civil Service personnel must be reduced. (Cheers.) M. Sarraut previously announced his Stabilisation policy, including substantial and- immediate economic reforms, war on tax dodgers, alleviation of heavy taxation in order to lower production costs, extensive public works, development of motor transport, protection of industry, continuation of quota system, without preferences, except for a quid pro quo, development of colonial markets, and international collaboration. France will continue her work for disarmament on the basis of the agreement with Britain. to which a specially friendly reference is made.
