ISLAND BAY CIRCLE

Residential Nursery Work The annual general meeting of the Island Bay Circle of the Residential Nursery was held recently, at the residence of Mrs. Seabrook-Mason, The Parade, Island Bay. Mrs F Porter presided, and in moving the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet congratulated the circle on its splendid achievement- for the year. The election of officers for the ensuing year took place, Mrs. A. T. Wells and Miss Wiltshire being unanimously re-elected president and honorary secretary respectively, members of circle being Mesdames Boocock, Duff, Hayward, Hart, Norris, SeabrookMason, Suisted, H. E. Taylor, Earl Wilkinson, and Misses Howden and M'ells. ■. 4 „ Mrs. Porter gave an interesting talk on the nursery, stressing the great need for help at the present time. Afternoon tea was dispensed by Mrs. A. T. Wells, who was hostess for the afternoon. Bouquets were presented to Mrs. Porter and Mrs. Wells, and posies to Miss Wiltshire and Miss Joan Taylor, for her mother, who was unable to be present. Members expressed their sympathy with Mrs. 11. E. Taylor, and wished her a speedy recovery from her illness. The meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
