In less than a year lienee it is expected travellers will be able to go from London to Paris and beyond by train without a change. The proposed Channel ferry service is now considerably nearer, for orders have been placed with a firm of Newcastle shipbulders for three t rain-ferry vessels. The new vessels will run between Dover and Dunkirk, and alterations are to be made at these ports to enable , the trains to run straight on board. Each vessel will accommodate a train of loaded trucks and also a train of sleeping coaches. There will also be a garage, into which cars may be driven from the quayside, and there will bo space for ordinary passim tiers.
