Forty Hours’ Adoration The Forty Hours’ Special Adora? tion of the Blessed Sacrament, which commenced in St. Mary of the Angels’ Church, Boulcott Street, on Friday morning, ended yesterday evening. Special sermons during the. Adoration were delivered by Fathei; McHenry, C.S.S.R. Solemn High Mass was celebrated at 11 o’clock yesterday morning by Father A. Cullen, S.M., rector of St. Patrick’s College. Father McHenry was deacon. Father F. Vincent sub-deacon, and Father T. Heffernan, M.C. In the evening devotions, special sermon. Solemn Benediction, and a Procession of the Blessed Sacrament, took place,' Father Heffernan being''the celebrant? Both in the morning and* eVening- set’-' vices the church choir’s singing was particularly fine. ’ The altar was an impressive sight during the Adoration, and was deep-; rated to a much greater degree than at any other time of the year. For this the ladies of the Altar Society, led by Miss M. O'Driscoll, were responsible.
