Wellington District Competitions MASTERTON’S SUCCESS By winning the H. 11. Seed Challenge Cup and the Sandham trophy an ambulance team from Masterton gave the outstanding performance at the annual Wellington district competitions of the St. John Ambulance Brigade, which Were held at the Drill Hall on Saturday afternoon. There were eight competitions, in which members of nursing divisions (women) and ambulance divisions (men) from the city, suburbs, and Hutt Valley, as well as the visitors' from Masterton, competed, and tlie work was of a high standard. Mr. F. W. Ward, assistant-commis-sioner in charge of Wellington district, controlled the gathering, and the visi-. tors included Messrs. H. H. Seed and ArO. Richardson, ex-assistant commissioners. The judges were: Drs. S. 11. Arthur, A. L. Young, J. Twhigg, I. B. Ewart, J. F. Zohrab, S. D. Rhjnd, and R. Walton-Hogg, and Sisters Mclntyre, Wilson, Gilchrist, Fabian, and Gray. The Wellington Corps held a church parade at the Cambridge Terrace Congregational Church last night, and th? prizes won ou Saturday will be presented at a social to-night. Results are as follow:— Competition 1, Rhodes Challenge Rose Bowl, open to nursing divisions in Wellington district; teams of four; work to consist of first aid, and home nursing. —Wellington South (Misses R. McCarthy. E. Cleaver, E. Paul and K. Gaby), 1; Brooklyn and Wellington, tied, 2; Y.W.C.A.. 4. Competition 2, H.
